These things are a great way to figure out if vacuum clamping is for you. they measure roughly 100mmX100mmX18.5mm and provide almost 200lbs of clamping force per pod.
These make fixturing a breeze for almost any shape or material. They have multiple hold down points and can even be clamped into a vice. They can also be daisy chained for multiple clamping points. With vacuum clamping you really want to do your best not to cut all the way through the material into the pod as this will damage the pod and cause a loss of clamping force. I my self use a vevor 5cfm dual stage vacuum pump that can be purchased for about $100 usd. So realistically you can get into a setup for way under the cost of something like an airweights or pierson workholding setup. I have used these pods to cut aluminum, wood and a variety of plastics and holding strength is awesome.
